Dialogic PIMG Integration between CS1K and Cisco Unity voicemail. PBX, PIMG and CU integration

The diagram (right) shows the connections used in a digital integration between PBX and Cisco Unity using digital PIMG units.

The PBX sends call information, MWI requests, and voice through standard digital line ports (M2616 TN's), to the Dialogic PIMG units (media gateways).
The PIMG units communicate with the Cisco Unity Connection server through the LAN or WAN using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).

Programing notes:

This example uses the Dialogic PIMG with DLC. A digital line card has 16 ports (0-15), but each PIMG Unit has only 8 ports. You can set up the DLC with 16 ports and wire the first 8 ports over to the first PIMG unit, and the second 8 ports over to the second PIMG unit.

For example:

0-1-10-0 thru 0-1-10-7 cable up to 13.xx.xx.190 (unit 190)
0-1-10-8 thru 0-1-10-15 cable up to 13.xx.xx.191 (unit 191)

Each 2616 requires the following class of service:

Program a group hunt list number with all the station ports in it in Load 18 – the hunts will be configured hi to low and then low to hi number group so all the services aren’t fighting to use the exact same ports all the time.

The GHT lists are associated with a Pilot DN in Load 57 to define the main number for auto attendant, for voicemail (generally 5555), for greeting admin, etc. You must build a separate PLDN and Group Hunt for each service, they can't be shared.

Add an ACD of 5555 with MWC yes, to NCFW to the PLDN for voicemail, in order to get the message lights to work.
